Then, I tested the Logitech Pop Icon Keys keyboard.
I’ve tested a few keyboards over the last year, including some that are really great.

You can customize function keys and the action buttons in ways that work for you.Lifewire / Jerri Ledford
But I usually end up going back to my Apple Magic Keyboard.
Turns out, though, I had a thing or two to learn.
TheDell Premier Collaboration KeyboardI tried has an amazingly satisfying key click, for example.
If the keys are too close, you make a ton of mistakes.
If they’re too far apart, your hands start to hurt from all the motion.
Here are all those details (and more) from my time testing the Pop Icon Keys Keyboard.
The next thing I noticed was the weight of the keyboard.
Considering that’s about double the weight of the Magic Keyboard, it’s noticeable.
Then I got to the fun part.
What that means is that there are labels for both Windows and Mac on the keys.
Still, that wasn’t even my favorite part of this new keyboard.
It’s All About Those 15 (!)
Customizable Keys
You read that right; there are 15 customizable keys on this keyboard.
That means 15 ways you could reduce a series of keystrokes and actions into a single keypress.
It starts with the column of four alternately colored keys on the right.
It’s not just basic customization, either.
The AI integration is one good example of how the shortcuts work.
To me, that is a game changer.
It can take two or three minutes to go through that process.
Now, I can do it all by highlighting text and pressing a button.
And that’s just one example of how I customized this keyboard to save myself time.
One is the fingerprint reader that the Magic Keyboard has.
Biometrics is making me super lazy, and not having a fingerprint reader on this keyboard makes me sad.
Another missing feature is also a nice-to-have: backlighting on the keyboard.
My Magic Keyboard doesn’t have that, either, so I’m not necessarily losing this feature.
Both missing features seem like a small price to pay for the customization available in the Pop Icon Keys.
I can’t emphasize the time-saving nature of that feature enough.
Is the Logi Pop Icon Keys Keyboard Worth It?
The Logi Pop Icon Keys keyboard is $50, list price.
That’s affordable for a good keyboard, and I would put this keyboard well above good.
So, yes, it’s completely worth it.
It just saves so much time.
