Is your iPad’s keyboard silent?

By default, the iPad’s on-screen keyboard makes a clickingsoundevery time you tap a key.

This sound isn’t just to make it seem like you are typing on a real keyboard.

Go into your iPad’s controls bylaunching theSettingsapp.

(Look for the gear icon.)

What Else Can You Do From This Screen?

While you are in theSoundssettings, you might want to take the time tocustomize your iPad.

The most common sounds tend to be the New Mail and Mail Sent sounds.

These play when you send or receive mail through the official Mail app.

it’s possible for you to also change the alert sounds for Calendar Alerts, Reminder Alerts and AirDrop.

Where Are the Keyboard parameters?

If you want to tweak your keyboard:

Open theSettingsapp on the iPad.

ChooseGeneralin the left panel.

Scroll down and tapKeyboard.

It is just under theDate & Timesettings.

Move the sliders next to the keyboard features you want to activate to theOn/green position.

you’ve got the option to make a lot of changes here.

One great trick is to set up text replacement shortcuts.
