Upgrade the command line with this free tool
Windows Terminal is a terminal system from Microsoft.
It only works withWindows 11andWindows 10.
You might already know aboutCommand Promptand PowerShell, two command-line utilities that come with most versions of Windows.

Use the search bar at the bottom of Windows to find and selectTerminal.
you might enter commands just like you would if youd had opened Windows PowerShell directly.
To open another PowerShell tab, use the plus sign at the top of Windows Terminal.

Or, to launch a different tool, opt for down arrow and selectCommand PromptorAzure Cloud Shell.
To edit additional configs, selectOpen JSON filefrom the bottom of that screen.

There are shortcut keys it’s possible for you to use to quickly open an item from the menu.
Terminal requires Windows 10 version 18362.0 or higher.
If you cant install it,update Windows to the latest version.
