Your home Wi-Fi connection might be capable of spilling your secrets.

Researchers have developed anew dronethat exploits security flaws to detect Wi-Fi networks inside buildings.

Experts say it’s an example of the privacy risks inherent in many Wi-Fi devices.

“Attackers can gain unauthorized access by pretending to be legitimate,” he added.

If possible, avoid using public Wi-Fi, Carr said.

Instead, use your phone as a hotspot over its cellular connection.

If you must use public Wi-Fi, verify your own machine is fully updated and patched, Carr said.
