I love a good portable speaker.

The Tribit StormBox 2 waterproof Bluetooth speaker packs a lot of sound into a small, low-cost package.

I already have theUE Boom 3, which I purchased a few years ago.

The StormBox 2 is an excellent deal at $80 and is often on sale for even less.

I’ve been using the speaker at home for a few weeks.

Here are my thoughts.

(Bathrooms also tend to be solid acoustic environments.)

It also seems tough enough to withstand drops, though I didn’t specifically test that.

It sounded a lot better with the bass boost on.

So, use it judiciously!

(I only have one speaker, so I could not attempt this.)

Pairing the speaker with my phone was simple and fast and did not require an app.

(Just turn the speaker on and open your phone’s Bluetooth options, and you’re golden.)

Final Thoughts: The Price is Right

The Tribit StormBox 2 is an excellent budget speaker.

I recommend it to anyone who likes to travel with tunes, especially for outdoor adventurers.
