Using Control Center is faster.
Control Center
Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to openControl Center.
The same applies to older iPads running iOS 11 or earlier.
Tap and hold theNetwork Settingstile (top-left title with Airplane Mode, Bluetooth, and more).
The tile will expand to show more options.
Tap and hold theAirDrop icon.
AirDrop will now be turned off on your gadget.

OpenSettingson your iPhone or iPad.
Click thetoggleto turn off AirDrop (the icon will go from blue to grey).
Using the Finder
OpenFinder.
Click theAllow me to be discovered bydropdown menu and selectNo One.
tap the dropdown menu next toAirDropand selectNo One.
In other words, youre essentially pausing it rather than blocking it altogether.
If Screen Time isnt enabled, youll need to turn it on first.
TapContent & Privacy Restrictionsand see to it its enabled.
You may also want to turn offNameDropfor increased security.
To turn off NameDrop, go toSettings>General>AirDropand toggleBring Devices Togetheroff.
