Own an Xbox One?
Just use the Xbox app when setting up your new console.
Connect the included power cord to your console, and then plug it into a power outlet.

Connect the HDMI cable that came with your Xbox Series X or S to the console.
Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to an HDMI port on your TV.
Skip this step if you will useWi-Fi.

Press thePowerbutton on the front of the Xbox Series X or S to turn the console on.
Download and set up the Xbox appon your phone if you havent done so already.
Launch the Xbox app, and tap theConsoleicon in the upper right corner.

TapSet up a new console.
Look for a code to appear on your television.
Enter the code into the Xbox app and tapCONNECT TO CONSOLE.

Wait for the Xbox app to connect to your console.
When the app says that it has connected to your console, tapNext.
Continue following the prompts on your phone.

When prompted, press theAbutton on your controller.
Wait for the update to finish, and selectNext.
Plug the included HDMI cable into a port on your television.

Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into your Xbox.
Connect an ethernet cable if you’re using a wired connection.
Press thepower buttonon the front of your Xbox to turn it on.

Press theGuide buttonon your controller to turn it on.
If your controller doesn’t connect, press thesync buttonson both the controller and the console to connect them.
Press theMenubutton (three horizontal lines) on the controller to skip phone setup.

If possible, use an Ethernet cable to connect.
If it doesn’t automatically connect, press theSyncbutton on the console.
Some wireless Xbox headphones and headsets use a wireless adapter that plugs into a USB port on the console.

Your subscriptions, like Game Pass Ultimate, are also shared.
Then, press and release theSyncbutton on the console next to the USB port.
