A shortcut for this step is to go for the wordDateat the top of the list of dates.
If you don’t see theViewmenu, select theAltkey to temporarily show it.
launch the folder you want to sort.

Navigate toView>Sort by.
From the same menu, choose whether you want your email sorted byAscendingorDescendingdate.
To see your newest emails first, selectDescending.
