Jim Ryan, the president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), has revealed more of Sonys plans to bring some of its most iconic intellectual properties (IPs) to mobile phones during the 2021 fiscal year.
Ryan shared the plans to bring more Sony titles to mobile during an investor Q&A on Thursday.According to VideoGamesChronicle, Ryan stated that both the PC versions ofHorizon Zero DawnandPredator: Hunting Groundshad been profitable, which has spurred the companys desire to expand where it offers its games and IPs.

“In Fiscal Year ‘21 we will begin to publish some of our iconic Playstation IP on mobile and we anticipate that in 2021, that will not provide a significant profit flow,” Ryan said during the Q&A.
“We do anticipate that as we learn from that experience, and as we increase the number of titles that we publish on mobile, the contribution from both PC and mobile will start to become steadily more important as time passes.”
The original job posting also noted that the Head of Mobile would be responsible for creating a product roadmap for a three- to five-year time frame, though there was no mention of exactly when those titles would start shipping.
Now, reckon it’s Sony has plans to launch some form of mobile gaming experiences before the end of March 2022, which is when the current fiscal year will end.

It is unclear exactly what kind of mobile games Sony plans to create based around its IPs, but the company does have a long list of game worlds to work with.
