In the evenings, my wife and I talk for hours.
For a few months, I had been recording these long conversations with my phones built-in recorder app.

Still, I was eager to see how its many features held up during real-world use.
The transcription quality, for instance, was as good as my phones appassuming I wore it correctly.
Its also more discreet, as it looks like a watch from a distance.

One handy feature is its support for multiple speakers with individual labels.
This makes it ideal for conversations and group discussions.
One limitation to note is that speaker differentiation isn’t supported for files longer than three hours.

This is worth knowing if you plan to use it for long debates or lectures.
I typically used the Autopilot mode, but I liked that I could re-transcribe recordings using different templates later.
However, this flexibility comes at a costeach re-transcription eats into your limited monthly transcription minutes.
Speaking of limits, free users are restricted to 300 transcription minutes per month (5 hours).
I also loved how easy it was to export transcripts, summaries, mind maps, and audio files.
Organizing these files into folders within the app makes it easy to keep everything accessible and neatly categorized.
The NotePin can even process audio recorded outside the gear.

Recording with the NotePin is a breeze and surprisingly discreet.
Just press and hold until you feel a vibration to start.
A small red dot signals that its recording, and there are no sounds.
Press again to stop.
The NotePin also works offline, so you dont need to keep your phone nearby while recording.
Once you reconnect to the app, the equipment syncs with your cloud account, uploading everything automatically.
It was nice being able to walk around my house without worrying about Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity.

However, battery life didnt live up to the companys claims.
Charging wasnt straightforward, though.
