What Is an RVT File?
An RVT file in Autodesk Viewer.
A file with the .RVTfile extensionis a project file used by Autodesks Revit program.
Examples includeremote video terminal,route verification test, andrequirements verification and testing.
Autodesks Architecture and MEP, both included inAutoCAD, is another way to open an RVT file.
It’s also a paid program, but it’s free if youdownload the AutoCAD trial.
How to Convert RVT Files
Revit lets you convert RVT to DWG orDXFviaExport>CAD Formats.
That program can also save the file to theDWFformat.
Navisworks(also from Autodesk) is one way to convert RVT to NWD.
Navisworks' Revit File Exporter can also convert the file into the NWC format.
To convert RVT toIFC, you might have luck with the onlineRevit to IFCconverter tool.
An RVT toPDFconversion is also possible if you use a PDF printer.
Still Cant Open It?
ensure you’re reading the file extension correctly.
For example, at first glance, RVG looks like RVT.
But those are X-ray images taken by dental imaging sensors.
And yet another is ReadWrite Think Timeline’s RWT file.
