Other Reddit users are being afflicted by the same problem.
The original poster claimed to have done the same thing, and the boot loop continues to happen.
This isn’t the first time boot looping on Google devices has happened.
Reddit users have been complaining about this problem since November 2020.
Right now, swiping up from the bottom brings up a new app menu without a prefs section.
They had to factory reset the Nest, which appears to have worked.
