Here’s how to use it.
Pull up the image you want to modify in Photoshop.
choose the Magnetic Lasso Tool from theToolsmenu.
It’s in a menu with the standard and Polygonal Lassos.
Alternatively, you could use thekeyboard commandShift-L to cycle through the three tools.
when you obtain selected the Magnetic Lasso, the Tool Options will change.
They are:
when you obtain determined your options find an edge to drag along and make your selection.
Keep following the path until you get back to where you started tracing the edge.
Click to finish the selection, and the image will get adashed lineacross the path you followed.
This may not result in a complete selection, however.
Now, you might treat the selection like you would any other.
