Instagram is optimized for a mobile experience.
The first thing you better do is download the Instagram app for your iOS or Android equipment.
After you download it, create an account.

Here’s how it works.
Launch Instagram and tapCreate New Account.
(On an Android gear, tapSign up With Email or Phone Number.)

If you have a Facebook account, you have the option of selectingLog in With Facebook.
Choose to register with a phone number or email address.
TapPhoneand then slide in your phone number, or tapEmailto enter an email address.

TapNextwhen you’re finished.
Instagram sends a confirmation code by email or text.
Enter the code and selectNext.

Add your name and selectNext.
Create a password and selectNext.
Add your birthday and selectNext.

This information isn’t used as part of your profile.
Instagram wants to confirm whether you’re over 13, which is the required age.
Now that you created your Instagram account, tapNextto find people to follow.

TapConnect to Facebookto find Facebook friends who are on Instagram, or tapSkipto skip this step.
Instagram doesn’t add Facebook friends to your account automatically.
You choose which friends to follow on Instagram.

TapSearch Your Contactsto find friends on Instagram, or tapSkipto skip this step.
TapAdd a Phototo add your profile photo, or tapSkipto skip this step.
you’ve got the option to start posting.

Instagram keeps suggesting accounts to follow.
By default, Instagram photos are set to public so that anyone can view your posts.
It’s easy tochange it to private.

Your Home page is also called your Instagram feed.
It’s where you see and scroll through posts of people and accounts you follow.
From the bottom menu, tapExploreto go to the Explore page.

Instagram presents you with accounts you may like.
From the bottom menu, tapReelsto see short, entertaining, and trending videos.
Instagram’s Reels feature is similar toTikTok.

Reels can be up to 60 seconds long.
From the bottom menu, tapShopto see curated product collections you may find interesting.
At the top of the screen, tap theplus signto add a new post.

Tap thedirect messageicon (looks like the FacebookMessengericon) to see a history of your direct messaging activity.
To like a post, tap theheartunderneath it.
On your own posts, tapMore(three dots) >Hide Like Count.

To comment, tap thespeech bubblebelow the post, pop in your comment, and then tapPost.
Tap thepaper airplaneto send the post to someone else.
Tap the person you want to share it with, and then tapSend.
From your home feed, tap theplus signat the top of the screen.
At the bottom, tapPostto post a picture or video.
TapStorytocreate an Instagram Story, tapReelstocreate an Instagram Reelor tapLiveto broadcast anInstagram Livestream.
UnderRecents, scroll down to select a photo or video from your Photos app.
TapSelect Multipleto add more than one photo to your post.
Select a filter for the photo, and then tapNext.
Write a caption, then tapTag Peopleto tag people in the photo.
When you’re done, tapShare.
