This information applies to the web version of Slack and the desktop versions forWindowsandMac.
Here’s how to add Giphy to Slack to share GIFs with colleagues.

Anyone can send GIFs after the Giphy app is added to your workspace.
To enable Giphy in Slack:
SelectAppsin the top-left corner of Slack.
Typegiphyin the search bar, then selectAddunderGiphywhen it shows up.

The Giphy app page will open in your defaultweb online window.
SelectAdd Giphy Integrationon the next page.
Configure the Giphy tweaks, then selectSave Integration.

For example:
Enter/giphy hello.
A random GIF will appear in the conversation window.
SelectSendorShuffleto get another random GIF.

Other users won’t see your GIF until you selectSend.
To change Giphy controls in Slack:
Select your workspace name in the top-left corner of Slack.
SelectSettings & administration>Manage apps.

The Slack app configuration page will open in your web web client.
Change the app options to your liking, then selectSave Integration.
opt for GIF you want to use.

Copy theURLin theShort Link.
Paste the link into a Slack chat box and pressEnterorReturn.
The GIF will be displayed for everyone to see.

Just go to the app options page for Giphy and selectDisableorRemove.
Others will still be able to see it, but it will no longer be distracting to you.
