Locate the number underAndroid versionto see which version of Android is installed.

When Can My Phone Get the Latest Android Version?

If you own aGoogle Pixel, you’re at the front of the line for Android updates.
For other Android phones, the timeline depends on the manufacturer and carrier.
In most cases, Android updates are rolled out by your wireless carrier.

If youre using a non-Pixel phone, your wait time will depend on when your carrier starts the rollout.
Google might also include compatibility information on its website when announcing a new Android update.
