Turn Off Netflix Subtitles on Android

With a video playing, tap thescreento show the progress bar.

In theSubtitlessection, selectOff.

Then, selectOffunder the Subtitles section.

Under the description page for the video, use the Roku remote to selectAudio & Subtitles.

To turn subtitles off after starting the video, selectBackon the Roku remote to show the video description page.

UnderAudio &Subtitles, selectOff.

Once it’s check-marked, press theBackbutton to return to the description page and resume play.

PressUpon the remote to dive into the progress bar and other options.

Use the remote to highlight theAudio & Subtitlesicon and pressOK.

SelectOffunder theSubtitles optionsmenu and pressOK.

Under Subtitles, selectOff.

Navigate to the dialog icon and selectOffunder theSubtitlessection.

With a video playing on Netflix, select theDownarrow on the Xbox controller.

choose the dialog icon.

Select theAbutton to display the Subtitles setting.

Select theMenubutton on the Fire TV remote.

If you’re casting from a mobile unit, select theMenubutton on the Fire TV remote app.

Select theMenubuttonto set the option.

This extension is specific toGoogle Chrome.

Navigate to the extension in the Chrome Web Store and selectAdd to Chrome.

When prompted to confirm the action, selectAdd extension.

BelowOffare thelanguages Netflix supportsfor subtitles for a given show or film.

These languages include English, French, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Select a language and confirm the option to set the subtitles.
