The instructions apply to Windows 11 and Windows 10.
On Windows 11, you might use the tweaks app to disable battery-saving features that affect screen brightness.
Not all Windows 11 devices support the options mentioned in these steps.

Open theStartmenu and selectSettings.
SelectSystem, then chooseDisplay.
Uncheck the box next toHelp improve battery by optimizing the content shown and brightness.

Go back toSystemsettings and selectPower & battery.
TurnOffthe toggle switch next toLower screen brightness when using battery saver.
One way is to search for it from the Start menu.

go for the heading calledHardware and Sound.
SelectChange plan settingsto the right of the selected power plan.
SelectChange advanced power settingsand a small window will appear.

Scroll down to findDisplay, and select theplus signnext to it for more options.
Next toEnable adaptive brightnessis a drop-down menu.
Set it toOff, then pressOK, to turn off the auto-brightness feature.

In that scenario, you could create a newPower Plan and ensure your machine’s brightness configs stay consistent.
This works in Windows 11 and Windows 10.
Go back toPower Optionsin Control Panel and selectCreate a power planon the left-hand side of the window.

Your options includeBalanced (recommended),Power saver, andHigh performance.
Name your custom power plan and then selectNext.
Configure the plan to suit your needs.

Then open theVAIO Control Center> selectDisplay> and uncheck the box besideAdjust Brightness controls Automatically.
