In theExcel Optionswindow, openAdvancedon the left.
Click or tapOKto save the changes and continue using Excel.

Click theOffice Button.
ChooseExcel Optionsto bring up theExcel Optionsdialog box.
ChooseAdvancedin the pane to the left.
tap the box next to theEnable AutoComplete for cell valuesoption box to turn this feature on or off.
ChooseOKto end the dialog box and return to the worksheet.
In Excel 2003
Navigate toTools>Optionsfrom the menu bar to open theOptionsdialog box.
Toggle AutoComplete on/off with the checkmark box next to theEnable AutoComplete for cell valuesoption.
ClickOKto save the changes and return to the worksheet.
Say you’re entering the same name, address, or other information into multiple cells.
There’s no need to copy or paste any data.
However, AutoComplete isn’t always your friend.
