If you are familiar with the normal contents of your HOSTS file, you will recognize unusual entries.
The IP address is127.0.0.1and it maps back to your own computer, i.e.localhost.
Replacing the HOSTS File
Rename the existing HOSTS file to something else such as “Hosts.old.
This is just a precaution in case you oughta revert to it later.
Open Notepad and create a new file.
