These instructions apply to Microsoft 365 Outlook and older versions, through Outlook 2010.

Here’s how it works:

Right-choose the folder you want placed at the top, and chooseRenameorRename Folder.

Type1before the name, then pressEnterto submit the change.

Repeat for other folders, using a higher number each time so they’re placed in numerical order.

Close and reopen Outlook to see the changes take effect.

Your collection of favorited folders can be sorted however you see fit without messing around with their names.

Right-click a folder and chooseAdd to Favorites.

Locate your favorites from theFavoritesarea at the top of Outlook.

Right-click one of the folders and chooseMove up the listorMove down the list.
