Set Up an Out-of-Office Vacation Responder in Gmail

Select theSettings gearin the upper-right corner of Gmail.

In theVacation respondersection, selectVacation responder on.

Enter a subject (such as “Out of office through the 24th”) and message body text.

In theFirst day field,choose the first date of your absence.

SelectLast dayand specify the last date you’ll be out of the office.

At the bottom of the screen, selectSave Changes.

In theSearchbar, tap theMenu icon(three horizontal stacked lines) and selectSettings.

On theSettingsscreen, select youremail addressfrom the list.

In theGeneralsection, tapVacation responder.

Use theFirst daydropdown menu to snag the first day you’ll be out of the office.

Use theLast daydropdown menu to grab the last day you’ll be out of the office.

In theSubjectfield, punch in an appropriate subject.

In theMessagefield, bang out your out-of-office message.

At the top of the screen, selectDone.

Changes you make in Gmail mobile will be reflected in desktop Gmail, and vice-versa.
