The shortcut varies by unit.
Surface Laptop and Surface Studio devices don’t have a button shortcut for taking a screenshot.
If successful, your Surface unit should briefly dim or flash the display.

If you’re using Google Photos, look inLibrary>Screenshots.
If you’re using OneDrive, the folder isPhotos>Explore>Screenshots.
It’s important to hit both buttons at the same time.

If you don’t, the unit will go into sleep mode or change the volume.
Just prepare your screen with whatever it is you want to capture, thendouble-pressthe top buttonon the pen.
The screenshot is stored in the same place I mentioned above:Pictures\Screenshots.
Windows 10 Action Center.
Although there are severalways to take screenshots in Windows, including the traditionalPrtScnbutton, the best option isWin+Shift+S.
This will work on all Surface devices with a keyboard that’s running Windows 11 or Windows 10.

Tap the tile labeledScreen snipto open your rig’s screenshot utility.
A notification will appear when finished with a preview of the screenshot.
