Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcutCtrl+Eto open theAdjustments andEffectswindow.
In theAdjustments and Effectswindow, go to theVideo Effectstab and select theGeometrytab.
(If you’re on a Mac, select theGeometrytab.)

Select theTransformcheck box, then choose the drop-down menu underneath and choose the option you want.
The video automatically rotates as you make a selection.
When you’re satisfied with the rotation, selectSave, then selectCloseto return to the main VLC interface.

(On a Mac, go toVLC media player>Preferences.)
Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcutCtrl+Pto open theAdvanced Preferenceswindow.
Go to the lower-left corner of theAdvanced Preferenceswindow and selectAll.

(On a Mac, selectShow All.)
Scroll down the left menu pane to theStreamoutputsection, expand theSoutstreamentry, then selectTranscode.
On the right side of the window, select theRotatevideo filtercheck box, then selectSave.

(On a Mac, selectFile>Convert/Stream.)
Alternatively, use the keyboard shortcutCtrl+Rto open theOpen Mediawindow.
In theOpen Mediawindow, selectAdd, choose the file you rotated, then selectConvert/Save.

(On a Mac, selectOpen mediaand snag the file you rotated.)
SelectStart(orSaveon Mac) to begin the conversion process and save the video file.
