How to Restart a Roku
A system restartturns off your Roku deviceand then turns it back on.
This may or may not correct any problems.
Roku
Scroll down and clickSystem Restart.
Wait a few minutes for Roku to turn off and on, then show your home screen.
Check to see if the features you were having trouble with now work properly.
Press theFast Forwardbutton twice.
The restart will begin, though it may take a few seconds.
What Happens When You Factory Reset Roku?
If restarting didn’t work, then you’ll need to perform a factory reset.
There are two ways to do this.
Scroll up or down and selectSettings.
Roku
SelectSystem>Advanced System controls.
Confirm you want to continue the factory reset and enter the special code provided.
The factory reset should begin.
Find theresetbutton on your Roku TV, streaming stick, or box.
Press and hold theresetbutton for about 20 seconds.
When the factory reset is complete, the power indicator light on the Roku equipment will blink rapidly.
While holding the above buttons, unplug the TV’s power cord and plug it back in.
Release the buttons when the TV’s startup screen comes back.
Proceed through the Guided Setup to re-key in your account and configs information.
Here are the steps:
From theHome Pagego toSettings.
SelectReset Connection, which removes all current Wi-Fi connection info.
Go toSettings>data pipe>Set up a new connectionand re-slide in your Wi-Fi account information.
If that doesn’t work, see if your remote has aLink/Pairingbutton.
ensure your Roku unit is on and see if you canpair the Roku remote.
If none of the above options solve your problem,contact Roku Supportfor further instructions or advice.
If using a composite cable, double-check the audio connectors are firmly connected at both ends.
If you are using a soundbar, check the volume and connectors for it as well.
To set upiPhone mirroring on your Roku, go toSettings>System>Screen Mirroring.
On your mobile equipment, you will have to set up mirroring and pair your equipment
