You dont need to follow the account to repost one of their Instagram stories.
One way to get around this restriction is to use your devices screenshot or screen recording features.
Menus and other UI elements are included in screen recordings.
To get around this restriction, you’re free to use athird-party app.
Fortunately, there are several for both iOS and Android, and most are free to use.
Both are free and dont require you to sign in with your Instagram or Facebook account.
Tap thepaper airplaneicon, then chooseShare.
Tap the app you installed.
For this example, we’ll chooseRepost for IG.
Let the video or photo load, then chooseFeed.
Now, you’re able to post the image or video as you typically would.
So, you might add a description, hashtags, people tags, etc.
Instagram allows up to 30 hashtags in a post description.
They can help people discover your post, so its a good idea to use at least a few.
When youre ready, tapShareto publish your post.
It should now appear in your main Instagram account feed.
TapMore>Share as PostorHighlightto add it to your profile.
Instagram stories are automatically deleted and cannot be reposted after 24 hours unless they are archived.
You may need to enable sharing.
Go to yourProfile>Menu>Sharing.
