The instructions apply to Office 365, Word 2019, 2016, and Word for Mac.
Once you’ve revealed them, they’re easy to remove.
Select theHometab in the ribbon.

In the Paragraph section, select theShow/Hideicon (it looks like).
All page breaks in the document will appear on the page.
Highlight the page break you want to delete and press theDeletekey.

You’ll probably want to deselect theShow/Hideicon, too.
There’s a brute-force method to remove page breaks in Word.
You canuse Word to find and replacepage breaks just like any other element of your document.

In the Editing section, selectReplace.
Alternatively, use theCtrl+Hkeyboard shortcut to bring up the Find and Replace window.
SelectReplace Alland every page break in your document will be replaced by whatever you entered in the Replace field.

In the ribbon, clickHome.
Click theShow/Hideicon ().
If your Word window is narrow, you’re gonna wanna clickParagraphto reveal the Show/Hide icon.

Highlight the page break you want to delete and click theDeletekey.
You’ll probably want to deselect theShow/Hideicon, too.
Open theFind and Replacepane (Edit>Find>Replaceor magnifying glass > magnifying glass >Replace).

In theFindfield, poke the down arrow.
All page breaks in the document appear in the column below.
ClickReplace Alland every page break in your document will be replaced by whatever you used in the last step.

To control your parameters for those, go toHome>Paragraph>Line andPage Breaks.
Place the cursor where you want a line to end, and then press theReturnorEnterkey.
