When you print anything that’s for your reference, print in Draft mode.

When you change theprint qualityto Draft, documents print quickly and use less ink.

Here’s how to set up a Windows printer to use Draft mode by default.

View devices and printers under Hardware and Sound

Open Control Panelon your Windows computer.

In the search box on the Taskbar, entercontrol panel.

In older Windows versions, access Control Panel by selecting theStartbutton.

The Printing Preferences option

From theHardware and Soundsection, chooseViewDevices and Printers.

Right-smack the printer and choosePrinting Preferences.

Depending on the printer, you’ll see a variety of tabs, including options likeColorandQuality.

Click around to explore these tabs' configs.

Select theQualitytab or something similar and look for aDraftorFastoption.

Select it to fire up the quick-print option.

If there’s a Grayscale option, select it to save color printer ink.

SelectApplyorOKto save the options.
