We include instructions for both Bedrock and Java versions of Minecraft.
Can You Play Minecraft on Meta Quest or Quest 2?
Its possible to play some versions of Minecraft on your Quest, but the processes are a bit different.
Heres how to play Minecraft Bedrock Edition on your Quest:
Launch the Meta Quest app on your system.
Search forMinecraft, and select it from the results.
Put on your headset, and connect it to your setup via link cable.

SelectEnableto turn the link function on.
Locate Minecraft in your apps or search for it, and selectStart.
Minecraft will launch in VR.

It requires a mod called Vivecraft, which enables the Java edition of Minecraft to operate in VR.
To play Minecraft Java Edition on Quest, you need toinstall Java,install Steam, andinstall Steam VR.
If you dont already have all three installed, see to it to install them before proceeding.

Clickvivecraft-x.xx.x-jrbudda-x-x-installer.exeand download the file.
Launch the file when it finishes downloading, and clickInstall.
The installation will fail if you havent installed Java on your machine.

Put on your Quest headset, and connect it to your rig with a link cable.
On your box, locate Steam VR in your Steam library and clickLaunch.
In the Steam VR interface in your headset, select themonitor icon.

If you have multiple monitors, snag the one Minecraft will run on.
If you grab the wrong monitor, Minecraft will not appear on your virtual desktop after the next step.
Using the virtual desktop, launch theJava version of Minecraft.
SelectVivecraftfrom the Minecraft version selection menu.
Check the box, and selectPlay.
Minecraft will launch in VR on your headset.
