On your iPhone, openSettings, then tapBluetoothand turn on theBluetoothtoggle switch.

Alternatively, turn on Bluetooth using theControl Center.

The button turns blue when the feature is active.

Many headsets go into pairing mode automatically the first time you turn them on.

Consult the owner’s manual to see how to put the accessory in pairing mode.

Once the headset is in pairing mode, your iPhone should discover it.

You’ll see the name of the headset appear under the list of devices on theBluetoothsettings screen.

Tap the name of the headset, and the iPhone connects to it.

Some headsets may ask you to enter a PIN to verify paring.

The headset manufacturer should supply the number you need.

Now it’s possible for you to begin using the headset.

If you use a headset that accepts voice commands, you may be able to dial by voice.

After you enter the number to call, your iPhone presents you with a list of options.

Tap theBluetooth headseticon,and the call goes there.

Now you should be connected.

Most Bluetooth headsets have a primary button for this purpose.
