High-capacity SD cards ranging up to 2 TB aren’t expensive.

Double-check the maximum capacity of the MicroSD card that your gear supports before you buy one.

If your Android tablet has a USB port, transfer files using an external SD card reader.

Locate the files you wish to transfer to the SD card in the My Files app.

One way tofree up spaceandimprove the performance of your Android deviceis to transfer files to an SD card.

If you see a notification after you insert the microSD card, tap it to start transferring files.

Otherwise:

Open theMy Filesapp.

Select the files you wish to transfer in the My Files app.

You may have to search for it.

Once inside the folder containing the files you want to transfer, tap thethree dotsin the upper-right corner.

go for the files you wish to transfer or tapAllin the upper-left corner.

Choose the destination folder on your SD card and select Done.

Tap the three dots in the upper-right corner again and selectMove.

Choose the desired destination folder, or tapCreate folder.

TapDoneto complete the transfer.

Go to Settings > App and tap the app you want to transfer to the SD card.

bring up the gear’sSettingsand tapApps(orApps and notificationson Android 8.0 and 9.0).

Tap the app you want to move.

If you do not seeChangelisted as an option, the app cannot be moved.

Select Storage > Change and tap SD card.

kick off the camera app and tap thegearto openCamera tweaks.

Move files from the SD card to a laptop or desktop using a memory card reader to remedy that.

If you want to back up all your files,save everything on your Android gear to the cloud.

Open your camera settings and tap Storage Location to start saving photos and videos to the SD card.
