Check the box next to one or more emails, then go for the envelope icon.
For example, selectInboxor a custom label, orperform a search.
Select thecheck boxnext to each message, orselect a range of emailsto grab several at once.
Select theMark as readicon on the toolbar (the open envelope).
Immediately, every email you selected is now marked as read.

Go to the toolbar and select thethree-dotmenu.
SelectMark all as read.
All messages in the label are now marked as read.
