Use this tool for all kinds of slides, but those containing photos work best for most viewers.
When youre ready to make a photo slideshow with music, PowerPoint gets you up and running quickly.
To get started, selectInsert>Photo Album>New Photo Album.

Frame the pictures
Select theFrame shapedown arrow and choose a frame style.
Youll see a preview in theAlbum Layoutarea.

This option will not be selectable if the picture layoutFit to slideis enabled.
Your photo slideshow is created in a new file.
Add text to the slides and change the look of each slide.

The background music starts automatically with the slideshow and plays during all the slides.
The audio icon appears in the middle of the current slide.
To move it, drag it to a different place on the slide.

When the audio icon is selected, thePlaybacktab appears.
SelectPlay in Backgroundand make changes to theaudio file.
Here are some suggestions.

Start by deciding whether to show the slideshow in a window or full screen.
To begin, selectSlide Show>Rehearse Timings.
The slideshow displays in full screen with a Recording toolbar and a timer.

While timing your presentation, use the Recording toolbar to advance through the presentation.
SelectPauseto start and stop the timing.
SelectRepeatto restart recording the time for the selected slide.

When youre finished and have set the time for the last slide, kill the Recording toolbar.
SelectYesto keep the recorded slide timings.
To change the timing for a slide:
SelectView>Slide Sorter.
The new timing applies to the slide.
This way, anyone can view your slideshow no matter what computer or unit they use.
To convert a slideshow into a video:
Save the file.
To force a smaller file size, select theFull HDdrop-down list and choose a lower quality.
snag the destination folder and give the video a descriptive file name.
It may take a few minutes to process the file and create the video.
key in a name for the CD.
SelectCopy to FolderorCopy to CDand follow the on-screen directions.
When youre finished, selectClose.
