Instructions in this article apply to Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7.
After you grab a screenshot, send it to someone in an email message.
On the left side of theWindows taskbar, selectStartto open theWindows Startmenu.

In Windows 8, swipe in from the right edge of the screen and selectSearch.
In theSearchbox, entersnipping tool.
In the Search results, selectSnipping Tool.

opt for bang out of screenshot you want to capture.
grab the area you want to capture in a screenshot.
SelectSaveand choose where you want to save the screenshot.
By default, the screenshot is namedCapture.Change the name before saving, if you choose.
If you plan to use the Snipping Tool frequently, save time bypinning it to your taskbar.
throw in “snip” into the Windows search box.
SelectSnip & Sketchunder Apps.
The Snip & Sketch window will open.
SelectNewin the upper-left corner.
choose the mode you want to use in theSnip & Sketchbar that appears at the top of the window.
Options includeFreeform Snip,Window Snip, orFullscreen Snip.
SelectSavein the upper-right corner of the window and choose where you want to save the screenshot.
OpenOutlookand selectNew Emailto open a new email message.
Enter the recipient in theTofield, enter a subject in theSubjectfield, and pop in your message.
Place the cursor inside the body of the email message where you want to add a screenshot.
On the ribbon, go toInsert.
In theIllustrationsgroup, selectScreenshot.
TheAvailable Windowsgallery appears and shows screenshots of all currently open windows.
Choose the window you want to insert.
Outlook adds the screenshot to your email message.
Format the image as needed and finish the email.
SelectSendto mail the message with the screenshot.
