Instructions apply to recent versions of the Snapchat app for iOS or Android.
Snap a photo or record a video in the Snap tab.
Alternatively,upload a photo or video.
In the bottom right, tapSend To.
Select+New Story>NewPrivate Story.
You’re shown your list of Best Friends, Recents, Groups, and Friends.
snag the contacts you want to view your Private Story.
Selected friends/groups have a blue check mark included with their profile photo.
Tap thecheck markto post your Private Story.
Private Stories have a padlock icon on them to distinguish them from My Stories.
Here’s how:
From your profile, tap+New Story.
When you’re done adding people, tap thecheck markin the bottom right.
Tap the blueCreate Storybutton to publish your Private Story.
you might see the name of your newly createdPrivate Storylisted under your Stories section on your Profile.
Tap it to access theSnap tabto take your first photo or record your first video.
you’ve got the option to also add to your Private Story when taking or recording photos.
From the main Snap tab tapSend to, then tap thePrivate Story nameunder the Stories label.
Tap thethree vertical dotsbeside its name.
My Stories vs. A Private Story involves creating a Custom Story first.
Once you create one, you’re able to then make it private.
Nobody else but you’ve got the option to add content to your Private Stories.
