Set Limits on Instagram

As mentioned, the Limits feature is available in the Instagram mobile app.

As of this writing, it is not available on the Instagram website.

kick off the Instagram app on your mobile gadget to get started.

Settings, Privacy, and Limits in Instagram

Go to theprofiletab and tap themenuicon on the top right.

you’re free to then use the toggles to limit accounts that arent following you and/or recent followers.

Next, selectLimit forin the bottom section.

Continue, Limit for, and Set Reminder in Instagram

you’ve got the option to pick from one to seven days or one to four weeks.

Finally, tapTurn onat the bottom to put the Limits feature to work.

Youll see a brief message that youve turned on Limits.

Turn on, You turned on limits, and Limits On in the Instagram Privacy menu

Tap thearrowon the top left to exit, youll seeOnnext toLimitsin the Privacy prefs.

View Limited Comments

SelectView All Commentsfor the post and thenSee Limited Commentson the top right.

On Android, tap and hold a comment.

On iPhone, tapManageand select a comment.

you could then chooseApprove,Delete, orBlockand follow the subsequent prompts to confirm the action.

View Limited Messages

Tap theMessageicon on the top right of your Feed.

SelectRequestsand thenHidden Requestson the top right.

Tap and hold a message and then chooseBlock,Delete, orAcceptand follow the subsequent prompts.

Alternatively, you’re free to remove all hidden requests by selectingDelete allat the bottom of the screen.

If you have a young child, take steps toset up online parental controls.

Make your Instagram privateto limit who can see your profile, posts, and stories.

Tapyourprofile>Menu>tweaks>Privacy>Private Account.
