Once added, these channels let you access video content from a provider.
You may be able to get content from other apps as well.
If theres a Roku channel, be sure to closely read what the channel offers before you install it.
Stream Local Channels on Roku via YouTube
Another option is YouTube.
You should search for your local station’s YouTube page first to see what it offers.
Your Roku and mobile devices will also need to be connected to the same Wi-Fi connection.
Using Windows 10
Use the Connect option from the Action Center to turn on mirroring.
First, go into theSettingsof your Roku rig and selectSystem.
Note the name of your Roku.
This will help you find it later.
Ignore theScreen Mirroringpart of the menu; it wont be necessary to stream.
In Windows 10, grab the speech balloon in the lower right-hand corner.
Expand the bottom window to findConnect; select this to open a menu.
grab the name of your Roku and a prompt will appear on your TV screen.
Using Android
Tocast from Android to Roku, the steps are mostly the same.
Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi web link and look for the screen casting or mirroring icon.
It can also be found in the main pulldown menu on some Android devices.
IfScreen sharingisn’t already enabled, tap the toggle switch toOn.
Launch media on your iPhone and then look for the AirPlay icon from theControl Centerto begin mirroring to Roku.
