Click theSettingsicon at the top of the screen (it resembles a cog).
At the bottom of theSettingspane, clickView all Outlook settingsto launch a full-screen controls window.
SelectMail>Forwardingfrom the two left navigation panes to expose the forwarding-address setting.
Check theEnable forwardingbox and key in your Gmail address in the box.
To preserve a copy of the message in your Outlook.com account, selectKeep a copy of forwarded messages.
If you leave this setting unchecked, Outlook will redirect without saving.
Visit each of your email services at least once every three months.
Some email providers deleteinactive accounts, including the mail and folders they contain.
