This can be frustrating, especially when you really need to initiate the command.

Here’s how to do that.

This solution assumes you have administrator access on the computer.

The easiest solution is to launch the command prompt as an administrator.

Select theStartbutton, punch in “Command Prompt,” then right-clickCommand Prompt,and selectRun as administrator.

There are other methods it’s possible for you to use to launch thecommand prompt with elevated access.

In the User Account Control tweaks window, move the slider down toNever notify.

It’s the equivalent of an “Access is denied” error.

This message can occur even when you believe you have administrator rights on the computer.
