If you experience this problem, there are several ways to fix it.

Confirm that iCloud is working.

Visit theApple System Status web pageand browse the list foriCloud Account & Sign In.

There should be a green dot next to it.

If you do not see green dots, then the problem is with the Apple servers.

There’s nothing it’s possible for you to do until Apple addresses the problem.

Come back to the System Status page later.

Restart the iPhone or iPad.

Look for stuck apps, and start your rig.

The troublesome download will either complete its download when you restart or disappear from the iOS unit completely.

Sometimes, a stuck book download in the Books app causes this problem.

If you spot a book or other app icon spinning, that’s an indication it’s stuck.

Update the operating system.

Check your current version, and if an update is available, download and install it.

If the problem persists, it’s possible for you to take a more aggressive approach.

This annoying error can also be sparked by an outdated version of iOS.
