Navigate toGeneral>connection prefs.
Look on the right side of the screen to find the IP address.
Does the Xbox Series X or S Need a Static IP?
By default, your Xbox Series X or S receives an IP from your router automatically.
That means it can change over time, if your router decides to assign a new IP.
If you are experiencing that throw in of problem, you will need toforward ports using your router.
Just double-check you dont select an IP thats already in use on your web connection.
confirm to use a unique address that isnt already in use on your web connection.
For example, you could change 255.255.255.1 to 255.255.255.12, as long as that address isn’t already assigned.
type your subnet mask, and press themenu button.
put in your gateway address, and press themenu button.
Enter a DNS and press themenu button.
Enter a secondary DNS and press themenu button.
Check and double-check your console still connects to the internet, and that online services work.
