If this approach doesn’t work, use the Command Prompt approach below.
Locate the Windows Search box on the Windows Taskbar.
In the Search box, typeAboutand pressEnter.

The About windows displays a variety of specifications about your rig.equipment nameis your rig name.
To use a command prompt to find your machine name, take these actions.
On your keyboard, press theWindowsbutton.

While holding it down, pressR.
In the Open box, typecmdand then clickOK.
In the window that appears, typeHostnamenext to the C:\Users.

your setup might also show a name next to ‘Users’ like this image shows.
The system will return the name of your machine immediately following the request.
Use the Command Prompt ipconfig to Find a Computer Name
In the Open box, typeCommand Prompt.

Alternatively, you might just typeCMD.
In the window that appears, typeipconfig /allnext to C:\Users.
The computer name will be shown on the Host Name line.
