Here’s how to do both in Windows Mail.
SelectNotificationsfrom the options menu.
Alternatively, selectApply to all accounts.
Clear thePlay a soundcheck box to shut down the new mail sound.
Check the box to switch on the sound.
Select or clear any other parameters you want to change.
Click anywhere in the Mail window to exit the Notification pane.
The changes are saved automatically.
