Using the Google Docs App

Open theGoogleDocsapp on your iPad.

Tap the thumbnail image of a document to open it.

Look at the bottom of the screen for your permissions related to the document you selected.

Tap thepencilicon to display the keyboard.

Edit the document as you normally would using familiar tools.

Position the cursor where you need it to jot down new text or highlight and replace any existing text.

Use the formatting options at the top of the document as needed.

Tap themenuicon in the upper-right corner to open an information panel for the document.

Additional information includesword count, page setup, and document details.

Your changes are saved as you edit.

When you finish editing the document, tap the check mark in the upper-left corner to exit editing mode.

Tap the send icon.

Tap themenuicon to initiate the information panel for the document.

Turn on the slider next toAvailable offline.

You will see a confirmation that says, “File now available offline.”
