How to Save Video From the WhatsApp App
The mobile app permits manual and automatic downloads.
Below are directions for both methods.
Then, selectthree dots>options(Android) or tap theSettingstab (iPhone).

If you’re on an iPhone, tapVideoand then chooseWi-FiorWi-Fi and cellular.
This parameters page lets you control the recipient’s WhatsApp video download quality.
TapMedia upload quality>HD qualityto send higher-quality videos.

Now, verify that newly downloaded videos are shown in your phone’s gallery.
Return to the prefs as you did in Step 1, but this time chooseChats.
In there, tap the button next toMedia visibilityif you’re on Android (orSave to Photoson iPhone).

This is what enables the WhatsApp video folder in the Photos app.
If that setting has been on all along, great.
Open your phone’s Photos app and look for one that saysWhatsApp.

All videos sent to you through the app that haven’t been deleted are visible there.
Open it and tapInternal storagenear the bottom.
Go here:Android>media>com.whatsapp>WhatsApp>Media>WhatsApp Video>Private.

When the media visibility option in WhatsApp isdisabled, all new videos automatically go into thePrivatefolder.
Whenenabled, all new videos automatically go intoWhatsApp Video.
If you want to view every video in the Photos app, move them from Private to WhatsApp Video.

Didn’t find the video you wanted?
If you know it wasn’t deleted, it might be a status video.
Locating those takes the same steps as above, but in Step 3, chooseMedia>.Statuses.
To view that folder, you have to first go into the options of Files and enableShow hidden files.
Right-go for the video to reveal an options menu.
ChooseSave as, and then follow the prompts to save the video to your setup.
