Tap and hold each email to select them, then use the trash icon to delete emails in bulk.

Or, if it’s easier, tap and hold the subject or preview to select an email.

To select all the emails at once, choose just one, first, then tapSelect allat the top.

It’s fine to scroll past your selection to choose additional emails.

If you scroll back up, you’ll notice that the app retains your selection.

Select thetrashicon in the upper-right area of the screen.

This is controlled by theConfirm before deletingoption in the app’s parameters.

Doing this skips the need to press the trash icon.

Go toGeneral configs>Swipe actions.

TapChangenext toRight swipeorLeft swipe(pick the direction you plan to swipe to delete your emails).

TapDeletein the list that appears.

Tap theBackarrow a few times to return to your emails, then try out the new swipe gesture.

Drag your finger from the left or right to the other side to instantly delete the email.

Google will send a confirmation email.

Select thedeletion link>Yes, I want to delete [account].

Toempty your Gmail inbox quickly, go to the Gmail search field and enterin:inbox.

Go to your Gmail inbox and select thearrownext to the box at the top of the search bar.

SelectUnreadto filter all your unread messages.

Select your unread messages and select thetrash canto delete them.
