In the Review tab, clickDelete.

In Office 2016 and Microsoft 365, you might also right-click a comment as selectDelete Commentfrom the context menu.

Older versions of Word will only allow deletion from the Review tab.

Regardless of the method, both have the same function.

Comments can also be deleted in bulk.

Click theReviewtab on the ribbon, then hit the disclosure triangle next to theDeleteicon.

In that menu, selectDelete All Comments ShownorDelete All Comments in Document.

To resolve a comment, chose the comment you want to resolve.

Select theReviewtab on the ribbon.

Comments can also be resolved by right-clicking them and selectingResolve Commentfrom the contextual menu.

When you resolve a comment, its color fades, but it still appears in the markup area.

To reverse the resolution, snag the comment again and select theResolvebutton in theReviewribbon.

This setting toggles the resolved status off.
