bring up the Mail app and selectPreferencesunder theMailmenu.

grab the account in the left panel for which you want to remove the outgoing mail server.

If you’re using an older version of Mail, you won’t see this option.

Next toOutgoing Mail Server Account, poke the drop-down menu and choose theEdit SMTP Server Listoption.

Some older versions of Mail call this theOutgoing Mail Server (SMTP), and the optionEdit Server List.

Depending on your version of Mail, click theOKorDonebutton to return to the previous screen.

you might now exit any open windows and return to Mail.
