Here’s how to do it:
Open thePhotosapp.
Navigate to and pick the video you would like to crop.
In some versions of iOS, you’re able to view all your videos in one location.
Go to theAlbumstab, scroll down, and select theVideosalbum to view all videos.
Select theCropbutton, indicated by a square with circling arrows in the menu at the bottom of the screen.
Use thehandleson the edges of the video to reshape the canvas so that the unwanted areas are shaded out.
SelectDoneto secure your changes.
Here’s how to use the Video Crop app:
Download Video Crop from the App Store.
Open Video Crop on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.
Select thecropicon in the middle of the screen.
You’re presented with a list of the video files you recorded on your iPhone.
Choose the video you want to crop to play it, then select thecheckmarkin the upper-right corner.
pick the button in the upper-right corner to render your cropped video.
Watch your cropped video within the app.
If you’re happy with it, chooseSaveto store it on your iPhone, or chooseMoreto share it.
Saving a cropped video will not overwrite the original.
When you’re finished, select theHomeicon in the upper-right corner to return to the app’s welcome screen.
