What Is an Alexa Smart Home Hub?

Open the Alexa app on your mobile device and tap Devices.

A smart home hub serves as the command center of your smart home.

You may also need to install an additional app on your phone.

The Alexa app will walk you through all of the necessary steps when you pair your devices.

Tap the plus (+) in the top-right corner.

Tap Set Up Device when Alexa discovers your appliance.

Select Choose Group to assign your appliance to a group, or select Skip to continue.

Tap Done.

Open the Alexa app on your mobile device and tap Devices.

Tap Add Group.

Choose a name for your group and tap Next.

Tap each device you want to be part of the group to select it, then tap Save.

After you return to the Devices screen, you can tap the name of the group to open its settings.
